I arrived at the cool historical building and wasn't quite sure how to use the lift, however, their office was located on the 1st floor so it was only one flight of stairs where I was greeted by Angelo who was great! Very friendly and professional, and had a great calming energy to him. Checking in and out was very quick, smooth and personal. Because I was checking in early, and another room was available, Angelo was so kind to offer it to me so I didn’t have to wait. The unit was located in another building just around the corner with a cute little lift. I don't usually spend much time in hotels, however, this was an actual apartment (real Rome living) that could sleep up to 6 people and it was gorgeous, spacious, and bright. It had a great view of the side street buildings and opera house (must see if they have a show!), it is in a safe and well lit area, steps away from restaurants, shops, and transit (11 minute walk to the station Roma Termini! If you love to walk and explore it’s only a 15 minute walk to the TrevI fountain area (25 minute walk to the fountain) and 35 minute walk to Trastavere. If you are traveling for work, this is the spot instead of working from a tiny hotel desk. You really feel like you are working from home! It was a modern space and so spotless that if you’re wearing socks you could slip on the ultra waxed floors. So needless to say the place was equipped with a full kitchen, toiletries and what was nice was that there was even a bath tub - and the slippers provided are always a nice touch. Living in Italy for over a year, the places I’ve stayed only had showers. I also knew I had gained some weight and hadn’t weighed myself in over two years, so I was quite happy to see what the scale in the bathroom said! I was super happy with my stay and wish I would have stayed longer but the next time I am in Rome this is the spot!

The location is excellent. The hotel is located in a spacious, well-lit street full of restaurants, bars and boutiques, so we felt safe at all times. Just 2 minutes from the Repubblica metro station and the bus station. Also, an excellent location if you want to explore the city on foot. We really recommend. As for the hotel itself, it is very pleasant, comfortable and clean. We would especially like to praise the employees of the hotel, who are very professional, ready to help, with special recommendations and advice, which, if you are a tourist, are extremely important. In this part, we would single out Mr. Giacomo, who is an example of a good tourist worker. The room had everything we needed, even two hair dryers (which is especially important for woman) - a standard hotel hair dryer and a special, strong, hair dryer. We will certainly return to Rome and to this hotel again.

Staying at this hotel was a new experience for me, especially because it’s a different type of hotel. It’s conveniently located near the tram station, allowing easy access to various destinations on foot. Situated on the main street, the hotel is surrounded by numerous quality stores. The staff were exceptionally friendly, with special thanks to Florencia. She assisted me in various tasks such as reserving taxis, finding good stores, navigating to the station, and selecting the best options for touring Rome. Her recommendations for restaurants and shopping venues were also fantastic! Furthermore, the housekeeper was very attentive. After informing her of my preference for espresso in a large cup, she made sure to prepare it for me every morning during breakfast.

The location of this hotel is perfect. It was a little tricky to find in the beginning as it shares a building with another hotel that is a little more advertised, but Google maps took me right to it. Such a convenient spot, easy to find and walk around to all of the major attractions in Rome as well as being close to Termini Station if you are venturing farther. The price is RIGHT! My room was a classic single European room with private bathroom and exactly what I expected from pics and description. The staff was wonderful - very helpful and friendly and was more than willing to provide directions, fluent in English and I imagine other languages as well. As a solo female traveler, I felt looked after and knew I could count on them if needed.

Everything! 5 stars!! Location - amazing, right in the heart of Rome. 15 mins walk to Trevi fountain, Spanish steps. 20 mins walk to colosseum. Or you can catch a cab outside that can take you anywhere within a few mins. So many lovely restaurants surrounding the hotel, can be found down the different side streets. 10 mins walk to Rome metro train station. Staff - so friendly and helpful, really go out of there way to say hello every day and give you directions on a paper map. Room - Very clean and has all you need. Cleaned everyday. I will definitely return to hotel Cortina and can’t wait to come back already.
